Toss a frisbee, walk your dog, enjoy community events and festivals, or simply settle into our 14-acre greenspace that borders the Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) campus. Our Northern greenspace anchor is named after its shape as a military badge. Historic Military Park was once a Civil War encampment and home to Indiana’s first state fair. It also holds distinction as one of three (3) pieces of property that the State of Indiana is forbidden to sell (Monument Circle and the part of the Statehouse known as “the State House Square” are the other two). Today our historical gem is home to Indianapolis’ largest community events and festivals.
